I read somewhere that the new trend in movies is a lot of brutality and gore and such in the last couple of years because they want it to be real. They want it to resemble real life and real life is gory and brutal. I agree with that to an extent, and not everyone leads a gory and brutal life, so why do we need to watch it? We already know it happens, why do we need to allow ourselves to become accustomed to it?
